چکیده

Supply chain modelling is an important part of any supply chain improvement initiative. This paper argues that understanding the dynamic behaviour of supply chains is essential to evaluate the impact of adopting different supply chain strategies. Simulation is a key technique for the study of the dynamics of supply chain systems. In recent times a number of simulation systems have emerged that are based on the Supply Chain Operations Reference model (SCOR). This paper uses a case application to investigate the benefits and disadvantages offered by such systems over the use of more conventional business process and general purpose simulation packages. The comparison finds that SCOR-based simulators present advantages over general purpose and business process simulators, although some limitations can be found with all systems.

Rainfall-runoff modelling using artificial neural networks (ANNs): modelling and understanding

In recent years, artificial neural networks (ANNs) have become one of the most promising tools in order to model complex hydrological processes such as the rainfall-runoff process. In many studies, ANNs have demonstrated superior results compared to alternative methods. ANNs are able to map underlying relationship between input and output data without prior understanding of the process under in...

An Owl Based Ontology of Scor Model: a Prerequisite for Strategic Alignment

Firms cannot be competitive if their business and information technology strategies are not aligned. Yet achieving strategic alignment continues to be a major concern for business executives. A number of alignment models have been offered in the literature. Enterprise Modelling (EM) can deliver models that are understandable by all participants and formalised enough to map the Enterprise Engine...

Identifying Tools and Methods For Risk Identification and Assessment in Construction Supply Chain

The construction project is a business full of risk in every process due to its complexity, changes, and involvement from various stakeholders. One of the critical risks in the construction project is in the supply chain. Identifying and assessing the risk with the right tools and methods in that area will inevitably affect the success of the project. Unfortunately, the research for the tools a...

SCOR: Software-defined Constrained Optimal Routing Platform for SDN

A Software-defined Constrained Optimal Routing (SCOR) platform is introduced as a Northbound interface in SDN architecture. It is based on constraint programming techniques and is implemented in MiniZinc modelling language. Using constraint programming techniques in this Northbound interface has created an efficient tool for implementing complex Quality of Service routing applications in a few ...

Application of SCOR Model in an Oil- producing Company

Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model is developed and maintained by the Supply Chain Council (SCC). The model is a reference model which can be utilized to map benchmark and improve the supply chain operations. SCOR model provides companies with a basic process modeling tool, an extensive benchmark database by defining a set of supply chain metrics. This paper explains the process and...
